Introduction;

Shah Jinnali Pass linking the Rich Gol’s north end to Yashkist is the Upper Yarkhun Valley which is wider, flatter and more cultivated. This popular and relatively easy Pass parallels the Afghan border less than 8 km from the Wakhan Corridor. Shah Jinali Pass trek starting from the legendary Turikho Valley of Upper Chitral and following easy trails through green pastures, lovely alpine meadows and summer settlements.

Itinerary

Breakfast in Chitral town. Leave for Terich valley in 4x4 jeeps. Lunch enroute in Torkho valley. Reach Rua campsite few kilometers ahead of Rua village.

Start of trek from Rua campsite towards the summer settlement of Dirshal. Arrival in Dirshal Campsite. Overnight in camps.

Departure to Shah Garhi camp. Relatively shorter day. Arrive at Shah Gari campsite. Overnight in camps.

Start the final ascend of Shah Jinali pass (4100m). Cross Shah Jinali and descend towards the summer settlement of Ishperodok. Arrive at Ishperodok. Overnight in camps.

Last day of trek. Arrive at Shust village on main Yarkhun-Broghil Road. Transfer to 4x4 vehicles and leave for Mastuj. Overnight stay at a local guest house in Mastuj.

Leave for Chitral town after breakfast. Lunch enroute at Buni. Arrive in Chitral town and have an early dinner.
