Introduction:

Shimshal Pass (4,735m) is located in the high pasturelands of the mysterious Pamirs and it lies on the watershed between South Asia and Central Asia. The area is unique for its beautiful expansive landscape; Striking isolated mass of reddish brown stone which rise like a watch tower over the watershed; snowcapped and easy trekking peaks of Minglik Sar 6,050m, Velyo Sar 6,030m, Quz Sar 5,900m; and the mesmerizing crystal clean blue water lakes which give an exceptional beauty, peace and tranquility to the area.

Itinerary

Arrival of participants in Hunza and transferred to hotel.

Breakfast at Hotel. Departure to Shimshal Valley via jeeps. Lunch on the way. Reach Shimshal valley. Equipment checking and packing. Dinner and night stay at guest house.

Trek towards Gursar. Reach Garsar (3500m). Night stay in camps.

Long trekking day (With continuous ascend & descend). Reach Arbab Puryen (3800m). Dinner & night stay in camps.

Trek starts for Shujerav. Reach Shujerav (4300m). Dinner & night stay in camps.

Trek starts towards Shimshal pass. Reach Shimshal pass (4735m). Dinner & Night stay in camps.

Mingliksar member will leave for high camp (5200m). Night stay at high camp. (Rest of the members can explore the surrounding areas and lakes).

Summit day (Wakeup call 2:30am). Light breakfast. Summit push starts around 3:30am. Summit and back to Shimshal pass campsite. Night stay in camps.

Trek starts for Arbab Puryen. Reached Arbab Puryen in after noon. Night stay in camps.

Trek start towards Garsar. Reached Garsar in after noon. Night stay in camps.

Trek towards Shimshal village. Reached Shimshal village in the afternoon. Night stay in guest house.

Breakfast at Guest house. Drive back to Hunza in 4x4 jeeps.
